Cardiac Sonographer
We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our medical team. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of various cardiac medical conditions. This includes standard echoes, Stress echoes as well as contrast and bubble echoes.
Qualifications
- Must have graduated from a recognized echocardiography program
- Must hold an active membership with Sonography Canada or the ARDMS
- Member must be in good standing with the CMRITO
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
- Demonstrated individual leadership skills
Responsibilities:
- Able to independently perform TTE studies
- Able to review requisitions and patient history to identify physician's requirements and to check with the supervising cardiologist if uncertain
- Able to ensure the proper process is followed in the performance of the requested service and that the testing performed is accurate and valid and all the required views are taken
- Able to maintain and apply program accreditation standards to all the studies
- Analyze technical information to provide preliminary findings to healthcare providers
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to data protection regulations
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, staff and healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
- Experience with Velox and Accuro an asset.

Registered Cardiology Technologist
Job description
We're currently looking for a Registered Cardiology Technologist who has graduated from a recognized Cardiac Technologist program and is registered, or pending registration, with OSCT.
The candidate should have the following:
- They must currently live in Ontario
- Have at least 1 year of working experience in Holters, ECG's, Exercise stress tests, Stress echoes and Nuclear Stress tests. (I.V insertion an asset)
- Experience with GE stress machines, Northeast Monitoring systems and Quinton Stress machines an asset
- Good working knowledge of computers and EMR systems such as Velox and Accuro are on asset
- ABP and Holter monitor setup and downloading experience
- Able to keep equipment and work space clean and tidy by following department protocols and infection control policies and procedures
- Ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative and professionalism
- Ensures patient privacy and safety at all times
- Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively independently as well as within a team environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage in a busy environment
- Excellent attendance record
